THE LAW REGARDING AIRSOFT BB GUNS

 

From 01/10/2007 the laws regarding Airsoft guns have changed for the UK. Under the VCRA Bill 2006 it is illegal to buy or sell an Airsoft gun to anyone under the age of 18 years. Under Section 36 of the V.C.R Act it is a criminal offence to alter the appearance or paint in a colour of an imitation firearm to make it into a realistic firearm.

 

By purchasing from our Site, you are agreeing that you are aged 18 or over and will not modify the colour of the product.

 

AGE RESTRICTIONS WHEN BUYING AN AIRSOFT BB GUN

 

The minimum age you can purchase an Airsoft BB Gun is 18 years.

 

AGE RESTRICTIONS WHEN BUYING BB PELLETS AND ACCESSORIES

 

There is no age restriction when buying BB pellets or other accessories. However items that release gas, smoke or bangs such as GAS CANS, CO2 CAPSULES, SMOKE GRENADES and FLASH BANGS may have an 18 years of age restriction applied.

 

MINIMUM AGE YOU CAN OWN OR FIRE AN AIRSOFT BB GUNS

 

There is no age restriction to own or to operate an Airsoft BB Gun. It is within the law for a person that is 18 years or over to purchase a two-tone (non-black) Airsoft BB Gun and gift it to a person that is under the age of 18 years of age to own and operate. So, a parent can buy a two-tone airsoft gun and give it to their child to use or keep regardless of their age. We recommend that an adult should supervise persons under the age of 14 years and make an assessment whenever handing an airsoft gun to someone under the age of 18, as to the suitability of doing so.

 

BUYING A TWO-TONE AIRSOFT BB GUN (bright orange, green, blue or clear)

 

Anyone 18 years of age or over may buy an Airsoft BB Gun without any background checks. If you are buying online you will be required to tick a box to confirm that you are 18 years of age or over.

These are products that are defected, damaged or refunded items made available at various times.

We only accept £GBP Sterling, if you pay with an alternative currency account and your payment is accepted we do NOT accept responsibility for any currency conversion differences. This includes but is not limited to; purchasing, delivery costs and refunds.

 

DESPATCHING ORDERS

 

From receipt of order, we aim to dispatch your order the next WORKING day. If you order on a weekend or on a bank holiday your order will be despatched on the next WORKING day.

 

DELIVERY

 

The delivery should be calculated on the delivery service selected at checkout from the day we dispatched your order. Please do not include weekends or bank holidays when calculating the delivery time.

 

Please allow up to 3 working days from the day of expected delivery before contacting us. You can track your delivery via our website and the courier’s website via your confirmation email.

 

MISSING OR INCORRECT ITEMS

 

If an item is missing from your order, please contact us within 7 working days and let us know exactly what is missing or wrong with your order. Please remember to include your order number within your message as this will help us speed up the search for your order details. After 7 working days, we would not take any claim for missing items.

 

CANCELLATION OF ORDER

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you buy goods from us online or by phone, your consumer rights entitle you to cancel your order and obtain a full refund if you request one within 14 days after delivery of the goods. The item must be returned UNOPENED and UNUSED at your cost!

 

BATTERY AND CHARGER WARNING AND DISCLAIMER

 

Take proper precautions when handling all batteries and chargers, but especially Lithium-ion (Li-ion) /Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries, as they are different than NiMH or NiCd batteries.

 

Failure to follow our Important Warning and Disclaimer instructions can result in severe or permanent damage to battery, cause serious personal injury, or lead to fire. By purchasing a battery or chargers, the buyer/user agrees that he/she has read and understood the safety precautions on this page, that he/she bares full responsibilities of these risks, and does not hold us or our suppliers responsible for any accidents, injury to persons, or property damage that may occur. Damage from misuse or modifications will void your warranty and can cause serious injury.

 

FAULTY PRODUCTS

 

Any item that is faulty at the point of sale may be returned for replacement or refund:

– WITHIN 14 DAYS from the original date of delivery for REPAIR or REPLACEMENT
– AFTER 14 DAYS your product may be eligible for repair under warranty with the manufacturer.

Faulty products must have the original receipt and be returned complete with all components and in the original packaging. All products are carefully inspected by our experts and items that are considered wear and tear or down to misuse will not be accepted as a manufacturing fault.

 

VOID WARRANTY on all guns that have the following:

– Opened or tampered with items – Incorrect oil or lubricants used
– Non Airsoft GAS or CO2 used
– Low quality or re-used BB pellets used in gun or magazine
– Modified or painted guns or accessories
– Badly maintained gun including dirt on outer gun or within internal parts
– Incorrect battery or non-compatible charger
– Overcharging of battery or power surge to charger
– Damage caused by impact including dropping or hit from BB pellet
– Magazine broken spring due to over winding

 

RETURNING A PRODUCT

 

Returning products to us is simple, however, we can only receive items if you follow the guidelines below:

Please provide as much information as possible on the form

 

One of the support team will then acknowledge your email and supply you with a returns number via email.

You need to pay for the postage and then organise a postage refund separately if entitled.

You must send your items to us via TRACKED/RECORDED/SIGNED FOR delivery.

 

Do not forget to include the returns number on the outside and inside of the package plus your name, address and contact info.

 

We must receive your item back within 14 days of the first email being raised.

 

We will then do our best to notify you when we have received your item.

 

We will notify you via email of our findings and our action.

GETTING YOUR ITEM BACK

 

If your returned item is NOT found to be faulty, or is not in ‘as new’ condition, and once we have informed you we will not refund, replace or give store credit you have 60 days in which to make arrangements to collect or pay for postage before the item becomes legally the property of BBGunsExpress.com.

 

REFUNDS FOR ITEMS

 

Refunds for goods will be processed using the same means of payment used for the initial transaction. Refunds can take up to 14 days from the point that we receive the goods back from you. If you cancel your order before goods have been sent to you, we will process your refund no later than 14 days after the date upon which you informed us about your decision to cancel your order.

STOCK AVAILABILITY

 

The website stock availability and our office support system is from the same stock database. If in the unlikely event that a product shows in stock but is actually out of stock in the warehouse, we will not know this until the point of picking, roughly two hours after the dispatched notification. As soon as we are aware of a problem we will email and/or call to discuss the shortfall in the order.

 

SAFETY

 

No gun should be carried in a public place unless in transit when it should be unloaded and placed in a bag. Guns must NOT be concealed on one’s person, or pointed or fired at another human or animal. Safety glasses and other protective clothing should always be worn when operating or viewing the firing of an Airsoft BB gun.

 

 

ORDERING AND DELIVERY TO OUTSIDE THE UK

 

All products ordered from outside the UK will be tested before shipping. This is to confirm that they are in full working order when leaving our distribution centre. Non UK orders will have the same 7-day cooling-off period as orders within the UK, except we cannot refund the original shipping costs on any orders outside of the UK. Items that develop a fault within 14 days may be returned to us for repair or replacement. No delivery costs will be refunded for non UK faulty items and an additional delivery cost may be required to send out the repaired or replacement item to you.

 

ORDERING OUTSIDE OF THE EU

 

As soon as you buy a product from a country outside of the EU, then you effectively become an importer and are liable to Customs and Excise Duty payments. The goods may be held by the Customs Authority at entry, pending the payment of duty and tax. Customs officers will examine packages to check for prohibited or restricted goods – it is your responsibility to ensure that the products you have purchased are not prohibited in your country or region. As a company, our responsibility ends when the order to a non EU country leaves our premises. It is your responsibility to communicate with the Customs in your region to retrieve your order.
